There is really no dearth of activities for kids if you take them to a Boston vacation. In fact, most of the places of attraction for kids are also places of attraction for people of all ages, so planning a family vacation to Boston is not difficult at all.

Take the example of the Franklin Park Zoo. This century-old zoo has extremely interesting animals such as the zebra, the wildebeest, the ibex, the ostrich, the elephant and several other animals from the Savannah regions which will captivate the attention of the kids.

There is also an area within the zoo known as the Kalahari Kingdom where the kids can have a safari experience and an area known as the Australian Outback Trail where they can get acquainted with several animals from down under.

Another very interesting place for the kids if the New England Aquarium where they can not only see fishes of almost every kind found under the sun, but they can also watch harbor seals and penguins and go on a whale-watching tour.

Don’t miss out on the duck tour that is a specialty of Boston. The tour begins in a bus that moves through the various roads and streets of Boston and then comes to the Boston Harbor where it enters the sea. It’s a wonderful land and sea cruise to take the kids to.

Take the kids to the Boston Children’s Museum. There are many interactive things for kids to do here. The kids will also enjoy visiting the Faneuil Hall Marketplace which has several shopping options that would interest the kids.

Or, if you feel that the kids need a complete day dedicated to their merriment, take them to any Boston daytrip. These trips take you through Boston’s beaches and mansions which the whole family will be able to enjoy. You could also take them to nearby Rhode Island and Providence for a different experience if they are getting bored. These are just a couple of good tips on things to do in Boston.
