Many people cannot leave Boston without checking out the Sam Adams Brewery. This is located in the Jamaica Plain. On fixed days of the week and between fixed time intervals, free tours are conducted here and beer samples are offered.

Boston is rich in history and most of the historical sites here are free to watch. Best examples are the Bunker Hill Monument, from the top of which a breathtaking view of the entire Bostonian skyline can be viewed. The Massachusetts State House is another historical site that must be definitely seen. It has the grand distinction of being the most ancient building in the Beacon Hill area and anyone will guide you to this building.

The best way to spend the evenings by spending little or no money at all is to take leisurely walks through the various market areas of the city. The Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a wonderful place to have some varied entertainment and you could also check the youthful entertainment that you are sure to get at the Harvard Square.

If you are a fan of literature, a book tour of Boston is recommended, follow the foot-steps of authors like the famous Emerson and Thoreau. Walk in their footsteps to see where they lived, wrote and finally rested. The Boston Public Library is the obvious starting point of a literature tour.

For free guidede tours of Boston and its sights, then AM’s Free Boston Tours offer free guided walking tours of historic Boston covering all the sites of the Freedom Trail plus Beacon Hill and the West End.
