Boston – one of America’s oldest cities!

17 April 2010 One Comment

Boston, the capital of the Massachusetts, is one of the ten most popular tourist destinations within America, seeing more than 16 million tourists each year.

The city of Boston is steeped in history – it was the site of the Boston Tea Party which shaped the American War of Independence – and even today bears the hallmarks of a free-spirited, gutsy city which has its cultural roots quite intact.

The modernization that has taken place here is abundant too, making Boston a destination for people of all tastes.

Boston is the capital and largest city of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and is one of the oldest cities in the United States. The largest city in New England, Boston is sometimes regarded as the unofficial “Capital of New England”.

Boston is a vibrant, thriving city and is known for its cultural facilities, world-class educational institutions, famous sports franchises, as well as its place at the very forefront of American history.

One thing that I loved about Boston is that it is so steeped in history. It played such a large part in the formation of this country. It was incredible to actually be there and see some of these places in person. I would definitely recommend it as a top travel destination. http://www.bostonhotel.net
